Mine is the first track and lead single of Taylor's third album Speak Now. It was released on August 4, 2010.
Meaning and Background[]
"It's been sort of a recent tendency. I think it's because that, for me, every really direct example of love that I've had in front of me has ended in goodbye, has ended in breakups. I think I've developed this pattern of sort of running away when it comes time to fall in love and to stay in a relationship. The song is sort of about finding the exception to that and finding someone who would make you believe in love and realise that it could work out. I'm never, ever going to go past hoping that love can work out. I'm always going to be very hopeful and blindly optimistic when it comes to love."

Trivia[]
- The song was leaked online before it's release.

Storyline
The video starts with Taylor entering a coffee shop. She notices a couple arguing and gets a flashback to seeing her own parents argue when she was a child. While sitting at the table, the waiter comes to take her order. They like each other and they get into a relationship. In the next scene, they walk by the water together and have fun on the beach. They end up buying a house and moving in together. In between, there are some flashbacks of Taylor seeing her parents argue.
While on a rowboat, the guy proposes to Taylor; she happily accepts. Next scene, they get in an argument at their house. Taylor runs out crying. A flashback shows Taylor as a child also running out of the house. Her fiancé follows her and calms her down, telling her that he'll never leave her alone and reminding her of the good times. Later, they get married and have kids. They are shown happily raising two boys together. The video ends with the scene of Taylor meeting the guy at the coffee shop.
In between the scenes of Taylor and her love interest, there are shots of Taylor standing in the woods, surrounded by photos hanging on white strings.
