Bad Blood is the eight track and fourth single of Taylor's fifth album 1989. It was released on October 27, 2014 and the remix became a single on May 17, 2015. The remix features rapper Kendrick Lamar.

Meaning and Background

Taylor said that the song is about a female artist who she accused of trying to sabotage her tour by hiring people out from under her. It's heavily implied to be about Katy Perry, who she was in a feud with until 2017.

Music Video

The music video was released on May 17, 2015. It was directed by Joseph Kahn. It features several of Taylor's friends.

Storyline
The video starts out with Taylor/Catastrophe and Selena/Arsyn fighting a bunch of masked men in an office over a briefcase. After defeating the men, Selena/Arsyn turns on Taylor; she takes the briefcase and kicks her out of the window. Taylor/Catastrophe lands on a car and is teleported to a lair. Here, she gets scanned and fixed by Hailee/The Trinity. At the lair, a bunch of women are training with their weapons. A boxing fight takes place between Karlie/Knockout and Taylor/Catastrophe, cheered on by other women. Next, Taylor/Catastrophe drives motorcycles with Jessica/Domino. She and her friends go out to get revenge on Selena/Arsyn and her team of women. A explosion takes place while they're approaching each other. The video ends with Taylor/Catastrophe and Selena/Arsyn striking each other in the face.
